What is Midwifery care?
Midwifery care is a holistic model of maternity care that focuses on supporting physiologic pregnancy and birth, while also recognizing when medical collaboration or transfer is needed.
Midwives provide:
Ongoing prenatal assessments and education
Continuous labor support
Skilled attendance at birth
Postpartum and newborn follow-up
Emotional, physical, and informational support
Midwifery care views pregnancy and birth as normal life processes, with clinical skills integrated as needed.
Who is a good candidate for home birthHome birth is generally appropriate for individuals experiencing low-risk pregnancies who desire a physiologic birth in a familiar environment.
During care, we continually assess risk factors and discuss whether home birth remains a safe and appropriate option. Safety, informed consent, and shared decision-making are always central.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly. However, many clients submit invoices for reimbursement through:
PPO plans
Out-of-network benefits
Health sharing programs
I provide detailed invoices and documentation upon request.
